Hong Kong Tennis Classic partners with Sponsors for “Once in a lifetime Tourist Visits to Hong Kong”

(Hong Kong, November 23rd, 2009) Organisers of the Hong Kong Tennis Classic have joined forces with blue chip sponsors to offer ‘irresistible’ tourist packages to Five, Four, and Three Star Hotels, plus prime seats and event souvenirs to attend the spectacular Event.

The packages have been developed to satisfy demand to watch the most exciting line up of stars to compete in a tournament in Hong Kong - if not Asia. “Maybe I can see Maria Sharapova and Marat Safin play Michael Chang and Venus Williams. Or watch Michael Chang play against Stefan Edberg. That’s amazing,” said one fan, “and I can do it at a reasonable price.”

For HK$3,830 (US$494) per person, fans can enjoy a Deluxe Stay twin sharing for 2 nights/3 days at the legendary Mandarin Oriental Hotel, plus event admission tickets, meals at the tournament and event souvenirs, exclusive of flights. The Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong is the Official Hotel of the tournament so they also have the added bonus of maybe glimpsing their heroes in the hotel lobby. Fans can fly with Cathay Pacific or Dragonair to enjoy great fares from some 110 destinations to Hong Kong

Fans wishing to spend less can enjoy a similar package at the handsome Excelsior Hotel just a stone’s throw away from Victoria Park, the tournament site. 2 nights and 3 days costs HK$2,250 (US$290) per person twin share, exclusive of flights.

A third package and cheaper still is HK$1,250 (US$161) per person for 2 nights/3day stay twin share at the comfortable Empire Hotel, also a very short distance from the Park and exclusive of flights.

For tourists who wish to stay longer there are longer stays also available. The summary of the entire tourist packages with full details are attached. Visitors also have the option of joining additional tours or even Horse Racing at the famous Happy Valley or Shatin Racecourses.

Co-Tournament Director Terry Catton said “As a former hotelier and tennis fan myself, I can safely say there are not many times visitors will enjoy such a wide range of benefits on a trip to Hong Kong. My advice is to take it whilst it’s there.”
